Fountain setup. Each tree around the fountain is suited with a sensor which determines the luminance of one or more colored lamps. The Conductor is also fitted with sensors and controls the impulse of water.

Trees control the lighting-design in a building facade. The same principle can be applied to the lighting design of the external windows of the facade. With this technique buildings become living, ever-changing organisms. Internet resources can also be applied to these setups.

Trees in different countries are interconnected and share movement information through the Internet. The Sotavento project belongs to this setup.

The ring tree setup

The "ring" tree shows 4 linear actuators that "reproduce" original movements from a remote tree.

"Der steinbaum" setup

"Stone-tree". A tree surrounded with invasive street stones. The tree is provided also with  sensors and speakers (see below) that reproduce sounds from the city, electronic sounds and human speaking in different languages, depending on the wind activity. This is a "cultural integration" project to be developed in Berlin, Germany.

The tree controls huge DMX light reflectors (see in the back) and sound evolutions. A submarine sensor in the near river at the left detects water turbulence and controls the lighting design of the installation.
