Sound architecture, sound design and activity levels

The sound in our installations is generally based on samples (although we also may use real-time synthesis). This means that, in general, the trees do not generate sound (biologically-electronically speaking), but they TRIGGER samples depending on wind-activity levels. We organize our samples in sample-banks related with wind activity. We have two ways of organizing our samples: Single Bank Cluster (SBC) and Multiple Bank Cluster (MBC) See the figures.

Single Bank Cluster. Cluster of 4 to 6 banks related with wind activity. Wind activity is arbitrary identified in this figure from "0" to "99". Each bank is marked with its related activity levels Each bank has an undefined number of samples. The samples in each bank are picked at random.

Multiple Bank Cluster. 4 clusters of 6 banks each, related with wind activity.

The circular arrow is time. Each cluster is totally different in character. Wind activity is arbitrary identified in this explanation from "0" to "99". Each bank has several samples. The samples in each bank are picked at random. The clusters are fully programmable via a play list, with several parameters.
